How We Measure Good

The Good For Michigan program offers two technical assistance on two benchmarking tools that aid businesses on their sustainability journey: the B Impact Assessment and the SDG Action Manager.

Measure Your Impact: The SDG Action Manager

The SDG Action Manager enables dynamic self-assessment, benchmarking, and improvement through a series of questions, guidance, and performance scores related to the Sustainable Development Goals and the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact in areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. You’ll start with the SDG Baseline, a confidential tool that is free and easy to use.

What are the Sustainable Development Goals?

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests. The B Impact Assessment

Used by more than 150,000 businesses, the B Impact Assessment is a digital tool that can help measure, manage, and improve positive impact performance for the environment, communities, customers, suppliers, employees, and stakeholders. This assessment is also the first step towards B Corp Certification.
